Leadership Shift Comes After Mixed Response
Brinkman assumes the role of studio head at the development studio following the dismissal of previous head the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was reportedly let go due to Project Ethos' underwhelming unveiling last autumn.
On Wednesday, 2K president a key figure notified staff about this strategic move through an official communication, which highlighted that early feedback sessions had indicated the requirement for a clearer direction.
The president stated that the developers is now refining the project with a refreshed approach, aiming to satisfy player expectations.
Trend of Strategic Hires
The news mirrors a similar move taken by the publisher in August, when they hired Rod Fergusson from Blizzard to contribute to the BioShock development group.
